Anonymous employee feedback
Anonymous employee feedback your staff can answer honestly
Send each person a private link, with no login. HR sees the combined results once at least 3 people have responded, never one person's answers.
- Results shown from 3 responses
- No IP address or device data stored with responses
- Flat price per organisation
How it works
From a form to results in four steps
01
Build the form
Write your questions, then add your logo and your own intro and thank-you messages.
02
Invite people
Each invitee gets their own private link by email. Scheduled reminders go to people who haven't finished yet.
03
Wait for enough answers
Nothing is shown until at least 3 people have responded. Until then you see only how many have completed.
04
Read the results
See combined scores and comments, with personal details redacted. Export them to PDF or CSV.
What HR can and can't see
HR sees the pattern, not the person
Anonymous campaigns are the default. Here is exactly what your team sees, and what stays out of reach.
HR can see
- How many people have completed the campaign, so you know when to send a reminder
- Combined scores for each question, once at least 3 people have responded
- Comments, also only from 3 responses, with personal details redacted and the order shuffled
- Exports in PDF and CSV that contain the combined results only
HR can't see
- Which answers belong to which person
- Any scores or comments before 3 people have responded
- The IP address or device someone answered from, because it isn't stored with responses
- Raw responses through the app: browser access to them is locked, and HR gets combined results only
In plain terms, responses are pseudonymous rather than unlinkable. Disclosurely's database has to know which private link was used so it can count completions and stop reminders. That link is kept away from your team, and the threshold of 3 is fixed, so it can't be lowered for one campaign.
Honest limits
What anonymous feedback can't promise
No survey tool can make every response anonymous on its own. These are the cases to plan for.
People can name themselves in comments
If someone writes their name, role or a story only they could tell, the comment can point to them. Disclosurely redacts personal details before comments are shown, but redaction can miss things, so remind people what to leave out.
Small teams carry more risk
A threshold of 3 hides individual answers, but in a team of 4 or 5 people can still guess. For small groups, combine teams or ask broader questions.
Named campaigns are a separate choice
Every campaign is anonymous unless you deliberately switch it to named, for example a review where names matter. Anonymous campaigns keep all the protections above. Named campaigns show names, so only use one where people know their answers are attributed.
Use cases
Where teams use anonymous feedback
Staff surveys
Ask about culture, leadership, workload or a change programme.
Suggestion box
Ask people for ideas on a specific question, without them putting their name to it.
Team check-ins
Run a short, regular check-in with one team to see how things are going between bigger surveys.
Disclosurely also supports appraisal and 360 reviews, where the person being reviewed is named in results and exports. It isn't a full performance management system.
Feedback or a concern?
Feedback is for opinions. Concerns need their own channel
A survey asks everyone the same questions and shows results in aggregate. Someone reporting fraud, harassment or a safety issue needs something different: a private report, a case your team investigates, and a way to follow up with them. Keep the two apart so a serious concern isn't lost in survey comments.
How anonymous reporting worksAnonymous feedback
- Opinions and ideas from many people
- Results combined across responses
- Run as campaigns you schedule
Anonymous reporting
- One person raising a specific concern
- Each report handled as a case
- Open all the time, through your reporting channel
For respondents
One private link, no account to create
Each person opens the form from their own link. There is no login and no password. The form carries your logo and your own intro message, so people know it comes from you, and a thank-you message when they finish.
- A unique link per invitee; the link token is stored hashed
- No login or account needed
- Your logo, intro and thank-you messages
- No IP address or device data stored with responses
Results and exports
See the combined picture and share it
Watch completion as people respond and send scheduled reminders to those who haven't finished. Once a campaign reaches the threshold, read combined scores per question and redacted comments.
- Completion
- How many invitees have finished, updated as responses arrive
- Reminders
- Scheduled email reminders to invitees who haven't completed
- Scores
- Combined per question, shown from 3 responses
- Comments
- Personal details redacted and order shuffled; withheld if redaction can't run
- Exports
- PDF and CSV with combined results and no respondent identities

FAQ
Anonymous employee feedback FAQs
What is anonymous employee feedback?
It's a way to ask staff for their views without their names being attached to what they say. In Disclosurely, each person answers through a private link, and HR sees combined results once enough people have responded.
Is it really anonymous?
Anonymous campaigns are the default. HR sees combined results and completion counts only, never one person's answers, and nothing is shown until at least 3 people have responded. Disclosurely's database does record which private link was used, so we describe responses as pseudonymous rather than untraceable. Browser access to raw responses is locked.
How many responses are needed before results show?
At least 3. This applies to scores and comments, and it's fixed, so it can't be lowered for a campaign.
Can managers see who said what?
No. In an anonymous campaign, which is the default, results and exports contain combined scores and redacted comments, never individual responses. Names only appear if you deliberately run a named campaign.
Do you store IP addresses?
No IP address or device data is stored with responses.
What if someone identifies themselves in a comment?
Personal details are redacted before comments are shown, and if redaction can't run the comment is withheld. Redaction isn't perfect, though, so a comment that describes someone's own situation can still point to them.
Is this the right place to raise a concern?
No. Feedback is for opinions and ideas. Concerns such as fraud, harassment or safety should go through anonymous reporting, where each report becomes a case your team can follow up.
Which plans include anonymous feedback?
